Dance-A-Thon

After Miriam’s death, we decided to have a dance-a-thon in her memory, The Miriam Quigley Dance-A-Thon. It was a way to not only raise money for pediatric brain tumor research, but to make healthy children aware of sick children that need their help.

Children went out and collected money to get into the event.  Local Businesses also donated money and goods.                    

The first annual Miriam Quigley Dance-A-Thon in March of 2006 raised over $67,000.00 for brain tumor research at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The second annual Miriam Quigley Dance-A-Thon in March of 2007 raised $106,000.00 for brain tumor research at CHOP.

Many children learned for the first time that there are children sick and dieing.  They also learned that they can help these children by supporting cutting edge research.

Miriam was able to use and responded well to many protocols at CHOP.

We hope to be able to one day see a cure to pediatric brain tumors and along the way prolong quality of life survival for children battling brain tumors.
